In a previous role I had accepted redundancy, and was working through quite a long notice period. All of my colleagues knew that I was considering what next steps to take with my career, and that it was quite a difficult period for me. At a work meeting, one colleague surprised me by giving me a little heart-shaped keepsake with 'Luck' written on it. I still carry that keepsake with me now in my purse, as a reminder of her kindness and thoughtfulness.
