My kindness challenge is to give a donation to a charity or good cause each month. For June I chose to sponsor Nicola and Debs who did a 26 mile hike over the South Downs for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Their reason for doing this gruelling challenge was in support of an amazing woman called Karen Youens who trained them as peer supporters for breastfeeding which resulted in Gravesham Breast Buddies being created. Karen was instrumental in creating a team which has helped hundreds of women on their breastfeeding journeys, not to mention brought breastfeeding support to the top of the agenda locally through events, fundraisers, networking and even carnival floats!

Karen Youens is currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer. So Nic and Debs hiked a marathon 26 miles across the South Downs to Beachy Head in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care.
